People think depression is about being sad. They think about being sad. They think it’s just when you ‘feel down’. It’s not. It’s like a darkness that creeps over you and fills you. It drains all your emotions. It takes everything from you, and leaves you feeling hollow and numb. It’s not sadness, it’s not anger, it’s hopelessness. Imagine waking up and there being no colour. Walking outside and feeling no wind. Eating a meal and tasting nothing. Holding somone and feeling completely alone at the same time. When you’re depressed, it’s not a bad mood. It’s a numb, empty, hollowness that seems to never leave. It’s feeling alone in a room full of people. You feel like there’s no hope left.
A day with my period.
| period: | WAKE UP ASSHOLE, YOU GOT CRAMPS. |
| period: | How bout an entire chocolate cake for breakfast? |
| period: | How's that back pain? Feeling better? Let's fix that. |
| period: | Corneas glance by a VS magazine on the table. Instantly horny. |
| period: | Find a cookie as big as a house and eat it. |
| period: | See a male specimen of any kind. Instantly horny. |
| period: | Where's your Tic Tac box filled with ibuprofen? |
| period: | Got things to do? Don't care. Sleep. |
| period: | See a female specimen of any kind. Instantly horny. |
| period: | For dinner you're eating an entire bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. |
| period: | Breeze blows by. Instantly horny. |
| period: | You didn't like those brand new underwear right? |
| period: | Yell at a puppy. |
| period: | Close eyes and wait for repeat tomorrow. |
I don’t say I’m not magnetic to try and sound self deprecating. I’m just not. Though actually I love people. I would like to meet more people. I know no one.
